3 days to go. 😳 Another full day of getting Showgirl ready. Lazy jacks sorted, rigging checked, EcoMax checked, Hydrovane rudders painted, glow plug switch fixed… slowly but surely, we’re ticking things off the list. And I definitely wouldn’t be getting through this final stretch without all the friends who keep showing up, picking up tools and asking, “Okay, what’s next?” ❤️ Special shoutout to @roamingreef for jumping into the chaos and helping us get Showgirl ready. And after another day of work, we finished with dinner with all the skippers. Three days from now, we’ll all be heading out there alone. 2 days to go. And we have the GREEN LIGHT. 💚 Today was the final inspection, the last details were finished, and then came provisioning. SO. MUCH. FOOD. 😂 Eight months of food had to somehow find a home inside Showgirl, and once again I had friends and family around me helping with whatever needed to be done. These last few days really have been a team effort. But the inspections are done. The food is onboard. The boxes are ticked. Showgirl is ready. I’m ready. After everything it has taken to get here, I can finally say it: We’re going to sail around the world.
