We went LIVE from the cockpit and tried 30 different hot sauces on the boat 🌶️😱 Catfish balls, Christmas chaos, and heat levels we did NOT expect. In this Sailing Into Nirvana podcast, we’re anchored at the marina shoreline, cooking fresh catfish we caught last weekend, rolling it into catfish balls, and testing a full 30-pack of hot sauces — from mild to absolutely brutal. Reactions were real. We also talk about our last podcast at the Bad Santa Boathouse snow globes, reflect on Christmas, and wish everyone a Happy Post-Christmas and New Year from the boat. ⚓ Live sailing podcast 🌶️ Hot sauce challenge 🎣 Catfish cooking on board 🎄 Christmas gift gone wrong (or right?) 👉 Drop a comment: Which sauce would you try — or avoid? #SailingIntoNirvana #HotSauceChallenge #BoatPodcast #LiveOnTheBoat #CatfishRecipe #SailingLife #FoodChallenge
Things got a little messy! 🦑💦 In this Short, we’re out on the water in the Solomon Islands trying our luck at catching squid. We quickly learned that these clever creatures have a very effective defense mechanism! Watch as we pull in a catch and end up with squid ink all over the boat (and ourselves!). It was a hilarious and messy reminder of just how much ink these guys can hold. Though we joked about it being tattoo ink, cleaning it off the deck was the real mission! ⛵️🌊 If you love fishing fails, ocean adventures, and the reality of boat life, make sure to like and subscribe to Once Upon A Reef! WhitsundayEscape.com Do your kids seem to spend more time on their phones than communicating with you these days? Follow in the footsteps of the Samson family, who decided to whisk their two teenagers away for a sailing holiday in the Whitsundays for a bit of digital detoxing. They hired a Venturer 38 power cat and cruised around the islands, going wherever they wanted to go, which the kids loved. They went snorkelling lots, went kayaking and paddle boarding, did lots of walks around the islands, and even played cards and other games, like they hadn't done as a family in years. Don't take our word for it, hear it straight from their mouths about what a great holiday they had. And do they recommend it to other families? Even the kids gave a resounding 'YES!'
