With the self-imposed sailing deadline of April 1st here, I couldn’t wait for the water pump to arrive. So my friend, Rick Cook came to help me get Vie Sauvage out of the marina and her sails hoisted. The tender and old Johnson outboard did the job in towing the 4ton sailboat both out and into the marina. A long day of gentle breezes and practice in sailing. My first sail ever on my own boat! Built by Devonport and in 2012 in Plymouth, Vava Il features naval architecture by her builder, an exterior design by RWD, and sophisticated interiors from the drawing boards of French designer Rémi Tessier. Onboard, she has space for many toys like her Airbus Helicopter H145 on her heli deck, four tenders accommodated in separate tender garages both aft and forward, as well as a large swimming pool on her aft deck.
