We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). #katknots The Clove Hitch versus the 🥨 Ground-Line Hitch. Which is your favourite? Both are great for tying fenders to guardrails, the Ground-line is a little more secure, but there's not much in it. 🔸 For both, wind the rope around the rail and cross over diagonally. There is a slight difference where you tuck the working end between the hitches. 🔸 Both knots are easy when you get the hang of them.
