I love this feature for two reasons; first, it is a great example of how responsive Vision is to customer feedback that can make the boat better, and second, because I had at least a little input in its creation! In a nutshell, they help prevent the running rigging from getting snagged on the rigid solar panel corners. Flexible panels wouldn't have this problem to begin with, but they are nowhere near as efficient, they get hot and they don't last as long. We were very happy to be getting rigid solar panels, but were less than thrilled about having to be super vigilant to prevent a damaged sheet or panel. I believe these clips will fully remove this concern; thanks Grant (Vision Engineer)! Want more? The construction of the brand new SW108#01 HYBRID is in full swing, with the hull’s bottom infusion process completed. This lamination technique uses vacuum pressure to suck resin through a dry laminate made up of layers of composite cloths. We introduced carbon fiber in the construction of maxi yachts in 2000. In 2004, upon having fine-tuned the infusion technique on flat panels and on structural elements, we began infusing hulls and decks, becoming the pioneer in mastering this composite construction process. The results are light yet sturdy, reliable yachts built to sail in every sea!

Last year we built this 12M landing craft for export to Democratic Republic of Congo. The job took longer than expected due to the Covid aftermath but the vessel was finally sent as sea cargo. Here it is cruising Congo waters.
