Zamputel, bellissima baia dalle acque caraibiche e natura quasi incontaminata. Ormeggio al gavitello o nel molo del traghetto, con due prezzi, stranamente più conveniente quello del molo che ha un'altra gestione. Paesetto dai personaggi particolari, stranamente simpatici per la mentalità, che si riuniscono in cerchio per le chiacchiere, sicuramente aiutati dalla buona birra in bottiglia "karlovacko", che tengono gelosamente in mano. Nel paese abbiamo testato anche l'ottimo ristorante, a dieci minuti di camminata, gestito da una coppia di signori in pensione. Zapuntel 20/08/23.

We did a major refit on our sailboat, and one of the key jobs was replacing the cutlass bearings — the parts that support the propeller shafts and keep vibrations low when the props spin. To do this, we hauled the boat out of the water, dropped the rudders, pulled the shafts, and used a heat gun to loosen the glue holding the old bearings in place. Once they slid out, we pressed in brand-new bearings, reinstalled everything, and got ready to launch again! It’s one of those behind-the-scenes jobs that makes a huge difference in how smooth and reliable the boat feels underway. J109 Going to Red was tacking in close quarters to the shore shortly after the start of the harbour race of Volvo Cork week 2024. With the tide rushing into Cork Harbour it paid to stick to the right to get relief from the in rushing tide. There are a couple of close crosses as the majority of the fleet tried to maximise the relief they got.
