The worse thing to find on your deck are little screws, bolts, and nuts. Where did they come from? Something important? Well Toni found a small set screw and we could not find anything within reach that it might belong to so up the mast I had to go. It belonged to the windex. I put some threadlock on it and returned it where it had escape, with a stern scolding. I am getting too old for this :(

In this short video we explain how to tie a bowline when you can’t see your hands. The bowline is one of the most commonly used knots in sailing or on sailboats. Many of us have learned the rabbit-hole-tree method, but I find that difficult to use when I can't see what I'm doing. With practice the method shown in this video can be done by feel, without the need to see your hands. To tie the bowline around an object using this method, simply pass the bitter end around the object before passing it back through the thumb loop (i.e. between steps 2 and 3) and pulling the knot over itself. If you guys know one thing about Riles and I, it’s that we never back away from some friendly competition ;) We recently hit the water for a race with @strickandfran . They decided upon a traditional style powerboat, fully confident she could take on our sailboat… and it was full throttle, full laughs all the way to the end!
