In 2014 Ed completed an 18 month circumnavigation with his father, and I (Paige) got to tag along for most of the Pacific🙌🏻. Following Ed's return we knew we would do whatever it took to get back on the water, this time in our own boat, together. So, after nearly 5 years of planning, saving, and questioning our sanity, we quit our jobs in 2019 and sold most of our non-essential/non-heartfelt belongings. We've decided to spend the next few years dedicating ourselves to travel and adventure while living aboard our 37 foot home, Sea Pearl. Ogni compleanno va celebrato come si deve. Chissà perché il 30esimo per noi è così importante. Si tirano le fila. Si fa un primo checkpoint della strada percorsa fino a qui. Si realizza che il tempo va in una direzione sola. Per me c’è poca differenza, 29, 30, 31, sono tutti vicini. Invece la vera discriminante è un’altra. Avremmo mai immaginato di festeggiare il mio compleanno, a febbraio, in costume da bagno ai Caraibi? Neanche a pensarci. Questo è il vero insegnamento che voglio portarmi a casa. Tante preoccupazioni sul futuro e poi la vita decide che devi prendere una strada a cui mai e poi mai avresti pensato. Occhi aperti ragazzi, e soprattutto antenne alzate! Non sappiamo mai cosa si nasconde dietro l’angolo. Che volete farci, l’età mi ha reso saggia… A domani! Camilla
