The Glen yacht designed by Alfred Mylne in the Mid 1900's is a timeless classic. You will find many of the racing each Wednesday Night on the beautiful strangford lough. The first race of the 2025 season got underway in perfect conditions with the sun shinning and light to moderate breeze. There sunset was spectacular as this Glen cruises the coastline on the way to the bottom mark. Once in a while, you should leave the water and explore the mountains! When we sailed along the Costa del Sol, we saw the mountains on the coastline becoming higher and higher. The Sierra Nevada in the South Spain means 'snowy mountain range' in Spanish. From our catamaran we saw the snowy peaks in the distance. In the harbor of Almerimar we rented a car for a day and had an amazing trip through the Sierra Nevada. A lot of sunshine, little white villages and always a view on the water as well. After the Alps, this is the highest mountain range in Europe, with a total of 16 peaks above 3000 meters.
