A new option is to black anodize or powder-coat the majority of the aluminum and stainless steel fittings located around the boat. The mast, boom, cross-beam, longeron and seagull striker can also be wrapped in a carbon fiber vinyl. These were both first done on Hull 10, "Umbono" (Vision in Zulu) which was launched October 20, 2022. It looks great and provides a very bold look. We have decided not to go this route, but it does look really nice, especially with a non-white hull color! Want more? Yarik and I have just reviewed the final draft of a video that we both feel immensely proud of. We have been documenting the construction the 62 meter super sailing yacht “SIMENA” for the last few months, and the latest video showcases the launch of the vessel and explains what will happen next. The camera work and editing is superb, it really does justice to the beauty and size of the yacht. I cant wait to publish it on the @yachtbuilders YouTube channel next Sunday.
