► Since 1973, the La Rochelle Boat Show, known simply as “Le Grand Pavois” in French, has been THE not-to-be-missed afloat show on France’s Atlantic coast. With 750 boats on display and a record 80,000 visitors, the 2023 event (that ran from September 20 to 25, so a little earlier than usual) clearly benefited from the scheduled absence of the Paris Boat Show at the end of the year. According to the organizers, no more than 10 square feet was left available at the Port des Minimes! Of course, the Multihulls World team was there. ► Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show ► The World's Largest In-water Boat Show? For its 65th edition, the 2024 FLIBS did not disappoint, presenting over 1,300 boats across its 7 exhibition sites. All in all, spread over nearly 90 acres (36 hectares) and with 6 miles (9.65 km) of pontoons, this in-water boat show is considered the biggest in the world - and attracted 100,000 visitors. Perhaps you were among them, as we sent our newsletter subscribers invitations and even a few VIP passes... FLIBS is also quite a cash machine, bringing in nearly $2 billion for the local economy. As for multihulls, there were no premieres among the cruising boats, but most of the major manufacturers attended.
