La sveglia suona e qualcosa va issato. Pensavamo a una vela e invece issiamo Alessandro. Quotidiana amministrazione, è salito a sistemare una drizza che in questi giorni fa i capricci. Iniziamo al pc, in un ufficio senza spazio e senza tempo. È facile dimenticarsi della vita sulla terraferma quando passi tanto tempo in un’isola che non ha radici ma ali. Pur continuando a essere presenti al pc, in questa traversa il nostro effort lavorativo è diminuito, per scelta. Oggi dovrebbe essere l’ultimo giorno di bonaccia, prima di agganciare il vento. Il pomeriggio scorre tra letture, scritture e chiacchiere. Niente pesci, ahimè. Il blu gennaker si amalgama a meraviglia con il blu dell’oceano e l’azzurro del cielo. Il blu, il colore che calma, dicono. A bordo di Julia non potrebbe essere più vero. Un blu che entra negli occhi e nel cuore, un blu che si imprime nell’anima. Buon blu a tutti 💙

And almost as a punchline to complete the joke, 13 units were sold on the opening day of the show... More seriously though, the main new thing about this catamaran is the signature it bears. The Lombard design team has been at work here, in collaboration with Jean Marc Piaton for the interior design. We discovered a nacelle of contained volume (as evidenced by the very wide side-decks), a galley that opens onto the cockpit, and fold-down sugarscoops. We like the futuristic design of the davits and the imposing span of the folding helm seats and the airy design of their protective biminis. Also noteworthy is a water recovery system on the coachroof, easy-access circuit breakers (at last) in a dedicated locker, and cabin doors that double as closet doors.
