Port Macdonnell is a relatively shallow bay facing the southern ocean and big swells creates a dangerous entry. After picking our path we surf a few waves before we get picked up by a larger breaking wave and end up surfing in at 21 KNOTS! We understand why we are the only sailing boat in the harbour. This might look simple to some of you, but I had to cut out the plywood twice to make a perfectly snug fitting piece to fit! You learn I guess :) At the moment I'm absolutley loving the boat repairs, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, not much more prep before the new deck goes on! I can't wait.
