«"Poco sole tanto sole cos'è che vuoi? perché non parli, rispondi!" Eh sì, se potesse rispondere direbbe sì che ha sete perché il 70% per cento dell’utilizzo dell’acqua è destinata all'agricoltura, i sistemi più avanzati, quelli goccia a goccia coprono solo il 4% dei terreni irrigati nel mondo: numero estratto 4» La Tombola per l'Ambiente, commentata da #PatrizioRoversi #SyusyBlady e Antonio Cianciullo. Just wrapped up the IAFOR Aging and Gerontology Conference in Tokyo. 865 delegates from 65 countries, bringing together perspectives that are international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary. A few days of plenaries, panels, and parallel sessions— and above all, a genuine exchange of ideas. A powerful reminder of the breadth and depth of research on aging, and the importance of learning from one another. More reflections to come. — Lowell Lowell Sheppard is a sailor, author, and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, sharing insights on longevity, community, and life in Japan through the Pacific Solo channel and Never Too Late Academy. #iafor #Tokyo #Aging #Gerontology #Longevity #AcademicConference #GlobalResearch #HealthyAging #NeverTooLate #PacificSolo #Education #Leadership

The 2026 St. Barths Bucket Regatta delivered everything the Bucket is known for: steady Caribbean trades, courses wrapping around the island, and a fleet of phenomenal superyachts pushing hard in close pursuit racing before the breeze built too much for a finale.   North-powered teams were prominent across the scoreboard:  V owned the Maxi 100 Series, nailing Thursday’s windward–leeward races and carrying that speed through the coastal courses to take the class win. In Class B, Les Gazelles des Mers, Hetairos* fought tooth and nail in one of the toughest fleets of the week, swapping places with fellow ketches until claiming both the class victory and the Bucket Trophy.   Over in Class C, Freya (90') edged out Hummingbird by just 32 seconds in a nail-biting finish, keeping cool through a series of upwind–downwind battles. Geist* led Class E with smooth, steady sailing, while Perseus³* made key moves down the final legs to top Class H.   Across the week our sailmakers and race experts were embedded with teams onboard, working through setup, trim, and sail choices in changing trade-wind conditions, while the Regatta Repair loft in Gustavia handled overnight fixes and last-minute adjustments to keep programs on the start line each morning.   With the Bucket wrapped, all eyes turn to the next stop on the Caribbean racing circuit: the North Sound Maxi Regatta in the British Virgin Islands. #NorthSails #StBarthsBucket #NSVictoryList #Superyacht #SailingLife

Full video: https://youtu.be/Isenw3wwV4k - I caught an 8-pound catfish from Lewisville Lake, TX and brought it straight from the water to the cutting board. In this video, I show how I clean and fillet a big catfish the right way—no waste, no shortcuts. This is Part 1 of a 3-part series where I turn this catch into homemade fish balls from the galley. Part 2 covers prep and seasoning, and Part 3 shows the full recipe. Life afloat, from catch to cook. @SailingIntoNirvana Into Nirvana. Cheers!
