The Figure 8 is one of the greatest knots of all. This is the figure 8 stoppper knot, used to prevent line from slipping through grommets, pulleys and the like. It's used in sailing, boating, climbing and ton of other applications. This is also the first part of a proper figure 8 knot for climbing. While not the most practical way to tie this knot, it looks kinda cool. This catamaran has been sold. We wish the new owners many happy years aboard! This Fountaine Pajot Cumberland 44 has been thoroughly refitted in 2019/2020, is in great condition throughout and has never been used for charter. She is a sturdy trawler cat and her power is provided by two strong Volvo Penta diesel engines of 285 hp each that have been refitted in November 2020.
