What is Raiding? At our events, which span four days of sailing, each day's races (or non-competitive group sailing, depending on which boat you're on) are divided between our smaller craft and larger yachts. Routes are set by Matt and most participants are lined up for the starting sequence! Cream tea or a picnic moored up in a cove, the days vary depending on where we sail and the weather of course. Evenings are spent unwinding by the water with a cold drink, followed by a delicious meal and the day's prize-giving, always full of good humour. Some of the hardier sailors stay aboard their Swallow, while others opt for a more luxurious stay in nearby accommodations. Unlike traditional racing, raiding is all about camaraderie, strategy, and skill—without the use of engines. It’s just wind, water, and teamwork! ¿Qué harás en las prácticas para obtener tu título de Patrón o Capitán de Yate? En las salidas te enseñaremos a aplicar lo aprendido en la teoría, como puede ser: ✔ Planificar la derrota ✔ Fondear de manera correcta ✔ Formación en seguridad y emergencias ✔ Guardias de navegación nocturna ✔ Y mucho más Para obtener el título de Patrón de Yate, a parte de aprobar la teoría, es necesario realizar un crucero de prácticas, el cual deberá tener una duración mínima de 48 h. de navegación continuada. Las prácticas se realizan en modalidad de travesía, embarcando un grupo limitado de alumnos (máximo 7) en nuestro buque-escuela de 15 m de eslora.
