This 21-foot 4-inch all-fiberglass boat was designed with a nod to the growing popularity of pontoons in coastal markets, where they often run in salt water. There's nothing wrong with running an aluminum boat in salt water -- the Navy does it every day -- but there's no question a fiberglass boat better fits the décor, if you will, in the coastal community. In other words, you won't look like you just moved in from Minnesota. The Fun Chaser hull has a one-piece catamaran-type bottom topped with a perfectly flat fiberglass deck, to which fiberglass seat bases are mounted. The outboard face of the seat bases form the "sides" of the boat. The seating is typical for a pontoon, with a pair of facing lounges forward and a wrap-around aft lounge in the port corner. There are boarding gates at the bow, amidships to port, and at the stern where there's a bit of a swim platform and a ladder. All the lounge seats have deeply-bolstered backs and a polished stainless top rail, and stainless steel drink holders are scattered liberally about. Stowage below each seat is generous because the deck is cut away so the compartment goes down into the hull.

Giorno 20 - sempre più vicini. Ragazzi che cavalcata. E chi l’avrebbe detto. Che Julia vada forte non è una novità, ma che sappia farlo per così tanti giorni di fila mi sorprende! Si, lo so. È un oggetto, non prova emozioni bla bla bla. Vero! Ma adesso non è la verità che cerco, è uno spazio in cui entrare in profondo contatto con ogni sua parte. Dopo tutti questi giorni la sensibilità sul suo procedere è altissima: i rumori ormai li conosciamo a memoria, se qualcuno risulta sospetto merita sicuramente di attenzioni. Al contrario, se un tintinnio proviene da poco sopra la nostra testa mentre dormiamo, non vale nemmeno la pena aprire un occhio, è il grillo di una drizza. Vibrazioni, scossoni e fluidità sono in sintonia con le nostre orecchie e i nostri corpi. Che meraviglia. Vero, come dicevo prima hanno ragione tutti coloro che dicono che le barche siano ammassi di materiale, ma è il sentimento che le attribuiamo che le rende speciali. Ci sarà chi lo prova per la propria auto appena comprata, per la propria moto sportiva. Bene, io questa connessione con la materia la provo con Julia, colei che ci sta letteralmente portando ai Caraibi, attraversando l’oceano. Che storia, che viaggio, che avventura. Beim Segeln "am Wind" sind erheblich mehr Bewegungen im Schiff und auch der Wind wird viel stärker wahrgenommen. Obwohl hier im Video nur 15 Knoten Wind herrschten. Ebenso spielt die Schiffsgröße eine erhebliche Rolle. Eine kleine Yacht bewegt sich viel mehr als eine große.
