Ci eravamo abituati alla morbida e alta onda lunga oceanica. Questa notte abbiamo lasciato la marina Rubicon di Lanzarote per raggiungere la marina di Las Palmas, sull’isola di Gran Canaria. Dopo poche miglia a vela il mare inizia a innervosirsi presentandoci una corta, alta e fastidiosa onda incrociata. Non riuscivi a stare in piedi! Ogni cambio turno ci si lamentava delle condizioni con chi sopraggiungeva, che a sua volta non era riuscito a dormire come avrebbe voluto. Tutto sommato la notte è comunque passata. Siamo arrivati a Las Palmas e ci siamo messi all’ancora. I prossimi giorni saranno di preparazione della barca per la traversata. Adesso andiamo a dormire presto per recuperare le ore dormite poco e male questa notte. Buona befana a tutti! Andrea

One of the favourites for the 2023 Sydney to Hobart “URM” getting ready for the start of the 2023 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. The team at Bottom up Boats had a great Boxing Day on Sydney Harbour as the 100 strong fleet zigged and Zagged their way out of the harbour before heading south.
