🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [7/52] 🪢 Our gas oven only has heating from below, and when first moving onboard cooking in it was a real struggle! The food got badly burnt on the underside and was often undercooked on the topside, resulting in really bad cooking 🧑‍🍳 But since we got this advice during our first winter as liveaboards our cooking game has improved so much! So, now it’s time for us to pass the knowledge forward. If you have a gas oven with no top heating, you must try this! Stay ahead of the curve and set sail with peace of mind! =========================== TRANSCRIPT So the best way to tie your plank on so you don't stub your toes and it doesn't fall off and it doesn't look crap. And it's easy! .... Around the bottom with this line and then around the stanchion and then on. Then we're gonna go around the top under itself and it's cinching around. So now you're pulling here and you're pulling here it's holding it up off the deck and it's holding it firm in two spots. Tie around here with a half inch on a bite. Same at the bottom end here. I'm going to go around the base of the stanchion and under the board again. Around the top. And tie it with a clove hitch on a bite. Just like that! Finish it with another one if you want it nice and secure. The water will run down and your toes will not stub on the underside of there.
