Varnishing can be a labour of love: On our last boat I applied 11 coats of varnish to the tiller and the results were fantastic... However, it took lots of time which I no longer have. A little test-fire of the Cubic Mini Grizzly. The stove is mostly installed. I need to finish the ceiling trim and the heat shields behind the chimney. But, a quick fire during happy hour didn’t hurt anything. What a difference this stove makes to the comfort of a sailboat! Wow. I am really looking forward to getting it going in earnest…and the timing is perfect as the temps are going to be minus double-digits next week. 🥶
