After all our recent solitude in isolated islands around Northern Sulawesi in Indonesia, we anchored right in the centre of the City of Luwuk and were in for plenty of surprises, meeting other cruising sailors for the first time in months, an unexpected visit from Port Police, and finding hoards of screaming motorcycles racing around the city streets for the annual Bangai Cup. See it all in our Episode 136 Join the Dreamtime Sail Virtual Crew: If you’d like access to our live-tracker to see where we are in real time, receive almost daily Sit Rep updates when we’re sailing via an exclusive crew Facebook Group, early, add free access to our episodes, free or heavily discounted downloads of all our e-books plus other exclusive benefits, you can become a member of our Dreamtime Sail Virtual Crew through either Ko-fi or Patreon. Opening sequence for the Great Loop videos. 2026 is the year this wild idea of a solar electric catamaran becomes our full time home as we travel 6,000 miles around America’s Great Loop. We start by going North along the ICW and Chesapeake Bay. After the Hudson River takes us past New York City, it’s off to the Trent Severn Waterway, Georgian Bay and Great Lakes. Next, we head through downtown Chicago as we follow the birds South down the Inland Rivers into the Gulf. From there we navigate around Florida. Weather permitting, we would like to try our hand at bluewater as we jump across to the Bahamas for a month. Finally, we pick back up with the ICW and cross our wake sometime in 2027! Please come along and support our adventure by clicking like, share and subscribe but most importantly comment.
What could go wrong navigating a 1986 37’ Prout Snowgoose Elite upcycled as a solar electric cruiser along the Great Loop? Powered by sunshine and twin ePropulsion Navy 6.0 Evo outboards, Sol Seeker takes things up a notch. Jason and Lezlie continue their journey showcasing their adventure and what is possible on nothing but captured sunshine.
Today we are sitting at anchor in Hilton Head where its just plain too hot to be outside so instead we are working and making our own kind of fun. Ever wonder what happens when a short video is released? This is what we do... In less than 6 minutes, refreshing the screen to see what happens...
