In the almost 2 years we've spent in Trinidad repairing our boat in the shipyard and on anchor we've made some amazing friends. Before we left, we wanted to catch up with two of them for one last lime. Both incredible cooks we had curried goat for dinner then after a swim the next morning to recover from the late night, tucked into some tasty curried duck. Located in the heart of the “Coral Triangle”, Alor easily offers some of the most unique snorkeling opportunities in the world. Alor is well off the beaten track and the area's friendly local community welcome you to their pristine waters teeming with life. Alor is most famous for its pristine reefs which extend for miles around the regions coast line which are quite literally bursting with colorful reef fish. The area also does have some larger pelagic residents who, if we are lucky, we just might encounter as we move between sites. These ocean giants include super pods of dolphins, blue whales, and the ultra weird and somehow still beautiful ocean sunfish.
