The J109 Going to Red head a slight lead over J109 Joker 2 heading into the first mark of the final race of Cork Week 2024. Both skipper were doing a good job of holding their hight while keeping speed as the battle to beat each other around the first mark. Wadadli Beer Lay Day After the big night at Reggae In The Park 10th edition, the annual Lay Day festivities came to life at Pigeon Point beach. J109 Going to Red was in the presence of sailing royalty during the Harbour Race of Cork Week 2024. Shortly after the start of the race J109 has a close cross with IMP, the two time winner of the famous Fastnet race. I was worried that our main sheet trimmer was going to jump ship to join the crew on Imp. I kept us far enough away to avoid the second man over board incident of the week.
