THE Benchmark design freefall lifeboat, the FF1200, received the Norwegian Design Council "Award For Design Excellence" in 2010. It set a world record drop height of 55m in 2009, and another at 65m in 2013. This video was broadcast at the pricegiving. Video should play in 1080p. Here is a quick little video I did while out sailing on a 2015 Catana Bali 4.3 in the Virgin Islands. I hadn't sailed a Bali 4.3 yet, and was impressed with how well she sailed in the 8 knots of breeze we had. The owner's cruising plans have changed, and have decided to move on.
