► The awards ceremony of the unmissable Multihull of the Year contest, organized by Multihulls World magazine and the International Multihull Show occurred during on April 12. On the first evening of the big multihull event at La Grande-Motte in the South of France, four of the nominees became winners. The event, presented by Emmanuel van Deth, our editor, and Gwen Dorning, our marketing director, was attended by 200 people and was shown in real time on social media and was of course the subject of a video. The 2023 WINNER’s banners were handed over to the shipyard representatives, and the winning multihulls being exhibited at the show were quick to get them on display! China shop is one site in Komodo that is often overlooked, but I have never been able to figure out why. Located in the north of the park, it is the perfect site for snorkeling or diving. It’s shallow reef is a mixture of hard coral, sponges, and giant coral bommies. The reef itself extends for hundreds of meters as it fringes the island. Mantas are frequent visitors to this site as they like to feed in the channel between the two islands, while green sea-turtles and hawksbill sea-turtles have made their homes in the reef. Whether you’re diving or snorkeling, you can’t go wrong with this site as it offers something for everyone!
