Want to support the podcast? http://patreon.com/SaltyAbandon Here is my engine after new fuel injectors installed, valves adjusted, as well as the following: new impeller and belt, new alternator belt, changed oil and filter, cleaned sea strainer, new fuel filters, and reinstalled air box and air filter. Going to run it 2 hours and change the oil again (because of the fuel that got into the oil). Still need to install new fuel lift pump. Still need to change the fuel lift pump. I realize not all of the items affected the problem but I'm mentioning them anyway for good measure. Sep 7-9, 2018. I was sailing from Orange Beach to Clearwater and onto who-knows-where. Fri, Sep 7th, leg was Orange Beach to Destin.  Sat & Sun leg was Destin to Clearwater (48 hour Gulf Crossing).  We had some engine troy ke after we left Destin. One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, crossing the finish line at the end of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. Jazz is terminally ill with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and is a full-time wheelchair user. After 28 days sailing around the UK and Ireland single-handed, non-stop and unassisted, Jazz arrived back at Brighton Marina around 13:30 on Monday 30th June 2025. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund.
