Great day for sailing but we’ve got to go shopping first, before the supermarket’s people limit means we might have to cue. Actually, the communities respect for Covid management measures here is very good, something we appreciate very much. Our location on the pontoon helps keep us safe. 🙂

A major snow storm has hit the Pacific Northwest today. I woke up on the boat to this sight…and it is wonderful. The boat is warm and dry. The coffee is hot. 🧣❄️

► The new Cervetti 44S had been announced for 2023, but ultimately, it was this year that we got to discover it. This catamaran optimized for charter features the inverted bows of its big sistership, the 48, with a greater angle and, above all, more width. The composite bowsprit is also retained. The nacelle, on the other hand, is proportionally larger. Inverted glazing should prove highly effective in keeping the interior cool. The flybridge design features an XXL sunbathing area and a central helm station, though there looks to be little in the way of protection up there. Advantages: the silhouette is more elegant and windage higher up is slightly reduced. In terms of performance, the upwind sail area/displacement ratio is 8.48 m²/t, which, in theory, suggests a placid temperament.
