We went freediving and snorkeling one afternoon off of Shell Beach in La Jolla, California. The water was above 70 degrees which is amazing for California. Watched the fog roll off the summits here for a good thirty minutes. This was late April and truly enjoyed looking out over the hillsides to see green trees starting to fill in. As with Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee had been sparse with tree cover. I had started to worry about sunburn.
