I have missed my friends 😍 8 DAYS until we are back on a boat!!! . . To answer the comments that are more than likely going to follow this video: Would I recommend you bringing a cooler of fish to filet at a public beach… NO… do I think it’s a good idea to filet fish off your boat (home) and then jump in to salt water shower… no.. What is the best solution to where to drop your fish carcass after you have done all the cleaning so you don’t attract sharks to the wrong place?? Probably out in the middle of the ocean, but that is not always practical. This is a known spot to clean your catch after a day of spearing, we were not the first and certainly will not be the last to drop a fish carcass off this beach. Do we LOVE sharks and think they are just to coolest? ABSOLUTELY that’s why we like to film them. Do we want to put people in harms way because of our actions? No, that is why we pick where we clean our fish very carefully and are aware of our surroundings. We do our best people. 🥰❤️#tulasendlesssummer #boatlife #sharks

Als erstes geht es von Sizilien rund 200 Seemeilen nach Sardinien und von dort knapp 550 Seemeilen nach Almerimar am spanischen Festland. Dabei geht einiges kaputt und ein Containerschiff nähert sich auf Kollisionskurs. Geht das gut? This time we are sailing longer distances again, further and further west. First, we sail around 200 nautical miles from Sicily to Sardinia and from there just about 550 nautical miles to Almerimar on the Spanish mainland. When the ocean delivers, it really delivers. When dolphins choose to ride alongside sailboats, it's the most amazing experience. One we never get tired of seeing. Dolphins always make an already amazing sail even more so. This pod of dolphins put on a real show for us. What we find amazing is how they can choose to make their presence known, and then just like that, they're gone! One of the many examples of how the ocean is such a beautiful but vast and wild place. By living a more minimalistic and sustainable lifestyle, she has provided us with a better work/life balance and has taught us to live and be present more in the moment. Tāiko has also taught us to be more independent and less reliant on services. Some of these experiences have taken us out of our comfort zone many times but as the saying goes, ‘a comfort zone is a wonderful place but nothing grows there’. Our plan is to do blue water cruising. So, over the next year we will be completing some maintenance work on Tāiko and be getting her ready to meet New Zealand’s category 1 requirements to be able to go offshore.
