Yesterday, HMY client "No Mercy" finished day one of the Buccaneer Cup in first place in the live bait division and second overall with eight sailfish releases. We’re Dani & Asher, two Kiwi’s who after spending 5 years living in London, decided to head home the slow way. We bought a 36 foot sailing boat called Bacchus, built a rowing and sailing dinghy Pīwakawaka and headed towards the horizon. We’ve sailed the south coast of England, the Atlantic coasts of France, Spain and Portugal, the Canary Islands and after a looooong trip across the Atlantic Ocean we ended up in the Caribbean. We free-dived with turtles, hiked volcanoes and had a blast on the coco palm lined, white sandy beaches before the unexpected happened. The world was hit by a pandemic. We’ve made it as far as Panama, the half-way mark on our journey home and we’re not entirely sure what happens next.
