Some people buy a boat before knowing what it takes to sail and maintain it. Different rig options require more or less physical labor. For example, we have slab reefing allowing us to sail faster due to a fully battened main HOWEVER we have to climb into the boom to straighten the sail before covering it. Alternatively, having a main that can be furled requires much less effort (but the boat goes a wee bit slower). Make sure you are happy with what it takes to make a boat work…with so many options, there’s a right boat for you. :) #sailinglife #sailing #sailboat
Sailing Virgins hits the road for it's first ever roadshow. Traveling to 13 cities across the US and Canada over the span of November and December. In each city, we bring together fun, adventurous likeminded people for a night of drinks, networking and the chance to learn more about what sailing has to offer. Check out the full schedule here https://sailingvirgins.com/east-coast-road-trip-roadshow-2018/

We're Nick and Terysa and we’ve become completely obsessed with the idea of sailing around the world and sharing our experiences and information through our sailing lifestyle videos with others. We met travelling around India, and quickly agreed that rather than “settling down” and doing what most normal people do, we wanted to travel and have adventures! We moved onto our 38 foot monohull in 2014, sailed across the Atlantic twice, cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas and Europe, before buying a brand new 45 ft catamaran! We hope you enjoy what we do.
