We live in New Zealand and Cyclone Gabrielle formed just south of the Solomon Islands and tracked down the East Coast of New Zealand in February 2023. Whilst we were very fortunate to make it through this experience unharmed, Cyclone Gabrielle caused widespread devastation in our home town of Hawke's Bay and along the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. This is a Sango built in Oregon, USA, and then trailed down to Mexico's Baja for its first sails. Mike wrote "Fastest we went this trip was 13 knots with a reef in the main and ill fitting sails.
