77 days. That's how long I have until the start of the Golden Globe Race. Sounds like plenty of time. Except right now the boat is out of the water, there is no mast on it, parts are arriving from different places, and somehow the to-do list keeps finding new ways to grow instead of shrink. Every time I cross something off, three new things appear. It's exciting. It's stressful. It's probably exactly where I'm supposed to be. The funny thing is that when people think about the start of the race, they picture the boats leaving the harbor. What they don't see are the months before it. The planning. The repairs. The deadlines. The last-minute surprises. The clock is ticking. The start line is getting closer. And somehow, whether I feel ready or not, September keeps coming 🌊 77 days to go.
