MS Balena There is a wreck of the Norwegian transport ship, which sank on April 12, 2001. The ship was built in 1952, had a length of 41 m and width of 7 m. The shipwreck lies on a rather small depth in very good condition, and its exploring from the inside is very simple and pleasant. An additional attraction of this place is very rich marine flora and fauna. While dive you can find a lot of species of colorful fish, which have found sheltering inside the wreck. This is a perfect place for every level of training, due to small depths. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MS Balena Ein Wrack des norwegischen Transportschiffs, das am 12. SW108#03 is taking shape, with the hull and bulkheads successfully laminated, marking a significant milestone in the construction process. The SW108-3's full carbon hull, deck and bulkheads, together with a high modulus carbon mast and boom, a lifting keel (4-6.2m) and titanium deck fittings, offer a displacement of 74.2 tons, making her a formidable sailing machine. Dear Salty Sailor, Fresh water is one of the most precious resources we carry on our sailboat, and access to it can be critical in remote locations. We decided to install a water maker to ‘produce’ our own fresh water, and we couldn’t be happier. Of course, it gave us some challenges (what part of the boat doesn’t, right? xD), but overall, it’s been a huge win. You can check out the entire installation process on our channel. Stay Salty, Greta and Michael on Fortuna
If any classic yacht is true to the idea that it is using and maintaining a boat as originally intended that preserves it, rather than as a static exhibit, it’s TOMAHAWK. And she has the Sparkman & Stephens DORADE-descendent ‘inboard yawl’ pedigree and storied career to go with it: of class wins, top placings and participation in the great American inland and offshore races of the 1930s and 1940s. A mid 2000s keel-up restoration, including discreet modern comfort upgrades, ensured TOMAHAWK’s longevity, allowing the cruising and racing adventures to continue, mostly by friends and family, rarely with professional help: in England, the Mediterranean, Transatlantic, the Caribbean, the Baltic, even the Barents Sea. TOMAHAWK is a rare and highly recommended opportunity. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/668/TOMAHAWK
