We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). I bought this gear for emergency use only. In case my prop gets entangled again. The first time it happened it was nearly catastrophic as the sudden stop of the prop from the entangled next sent a vibration and micro debris up the shaft to the dripless seal and the boat began to leak .. . which I was not aware of until I woke up after a nap having being pulled to port by the coast guard and the water was now above the floorboards. But as I have no license I am practicing in two feet of water. Check out my other videos @PacificSolo and @nevertoolateacademy
