Heading down the ICW just north of Palm beach, looking for a good spot to drop anchor. Found a good spot referred to as Conch Bar. Ten feet of water with excellent protection all around. Its a small little cut out circled by multi million dollar houses all around. They paid five to ten million for the pleasure of these views. Me? I get to enjoy them for free! Splash down the anchor and enjoy a little bit of the good life coastal sailing Florida. Having a little fun with slo-mo videography. We've done one or two of these before in different places. You just let others know it's happening and go sit out in the anchorage for people to show up. Bring snacks and drinks and hang out. We learned a couple of things: There is good snorkeling/diving on the other end of the anchorage. There is a boat here that converted their engines to full electric and we can go visit it to hear what they did. And we got a ton of information on places we might sail to next year including Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Put one together, always a good time!
