Sandals South Coast's main pool in the piazza area of the resort. This resort has a long beautiful beach with over the water bungalows and 3 different village areas. French buildings | Dutch buildings | Italian buildings. You can learn more here: http://www.sandals.com/?referral=101355&agentid=JUFI4309 We have visited this great resort at least four times and have really enjoyed our experience. We love seeing the peacocks roam the grounds and were thrilled to be part of a baby turtle release! This resort has great tennis courts and the Newton dive boats leave directly from the Sandals South Coast dock. You can learn to scuba dive and even become PADI certified. was it an ideal crossing? 100% no! but we will always celebrate arriving back to land safely 🌊 The one thing that boatlife has taught us is that it always can be worse 😬 being healthy and making it back to land still floating is the one and only thing that counts ⛵️ all the rest can be repaired 🛠️ Stay Salty, Greta and Michael on Zambezi #sailing #sailinglife #sailboat #boatlife⚓️ #liveaboard #sailingadventure #liveaboardlife
Our apprentices at The Pioneer Sailing Trust work on commercial projects, building Harker's Yard rowing gigs. The first 19 gigs were built from a cold-moulded construction, using three layers of mahogany. These wooden coastal rowing gigs are based on an East Coast design, specifically adapted for racing. They are slightly shorter (24ft) than traditional Cornish gigs and are rowed by a crew of four, plus a coxswain. These gigs are a key part of the coastal rowing scene in the East of England, with the Harker's Yard Gig Association (HYGA) organising a popular winter racing series. The current gigs are a composite version of the East Coast gig with the same specification, but instead of cold-mouldered, the hull is made from fibreglass with a wooden fitout and built-in buoyancy. With thanks to the The National Lottery Heritage Fund and the National Lottery players for help in supporting our projects! #thepioneersailingtrust #HarkersYard #Pioneer #Rowing #HarkersYardGigAssociation #HeritageFundUK
