While sailing though Vanuatu, we came across this massive 50m superyacht high and dry up on the reef. She had been shipwrecked during Cyclone Pam in 2015, and ever since then, it has been a struggle between owners, the government, and the local village as to who owns her, and what to do about it. The story was so intriguing that we filmed a documentary style video on the mystery surrounding the Blue Gold, and find out that in a week they were actually going to try drag her off the reef. The Corby 30Custom - Raptor - IRL 811 beating to windward on the way to the first mark of the Harbour Race of Volvo Cork Week 2024. The Team on J109 Going to Red were in a tight battle with the coastal race IRC entry after a poor start. A few close tacks up the right hand shore allowed GTR to pull away from the smaller yacht with a similar rating.
