Last week I visited the ARES Shipyard in Turkey. If you have ever seen the documentary video I produced there last year, you will know that they have built a solid reputation for constructing military craft and are now offering an eye catching 62m super sailing yacht called SIMENA. One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, crossing the finish line at the end of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. Jazz is terminally ill with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and is a full-time wheelchair user. After 28 days sailing around the UK and Ireland single-handed, non-stop and unassisted, Jazz arrived back at Brighton Marina around 13:30 on Monday 30th June 2025.
