Regular viewers will know one of the things we've always wanted to do is moor the boat in winter in a place where we could easily go skiing. We came very close during our winter in Venice with the snow capped dolomite mountains always in view from our mooring. Sadly that year we were scuppered by Covid which kept the ski resorts in the Alps closed all winter. Well this year we've cracked it! Three things cover it: a passport, proof of onward departure, and the official BVI online form, done before you arrive. The part people miss is the routing. Saint Thomas is U.S. territory, so if you fly in through there, U.S. entry or transit rules can apply before any BVI rule does. Two timings are worth knowing: Visa Waiver travellers are recommended to apply for ESTA at least 72 hours before departure, and where a BVI visa is needed the official page quotes about four weeks. Sort the route first and the rest of the week takes care of itself. Entry rules change and differ by nationality, passport and route.
