Enjoying a sail on Squib Satyr and (at last) a decent F3 breeze. The wind did pick up at time to a F4 which had the boat heeling well over and showing us what she can do. Apologies for the quality of the image - taken on my iPhone and a tad too busy in the decent wind to use my iPhone ;) Great sailing with you Mike Simmons. cheers Dave Grundy

March 14th...giornata della matematica, Pi Greco day. Perchè non utilizzare le cifre di π per costruire una spirale, la spirale di Archimede, da appendere in classe o nel corridoio? Se appesa sopra un termosifone o un'altra fonte di calore, diventa una divertente attività ed esperimento con cui scoprire alcune caratteristiche dell'aria: la spirale ruota e si muove perchè spostata dall'aria calda. It's a real treat to be sailing. What with lockdowns and little wind we took advantage of a small sailing window to unfurl the white flappy things and cruise round Gaya Island off Kota Kinabalu, Borneo.
