? Sunday Boat Tip [20/52] ? These are the rules we have set up to feel safer on over night passages as we double hand our sailboat from point A to B. They enhance our chance to get a more peaceful sleep when you are not on watch, knowing that the other person is safe and still on the boat when you wake up. The person on watch must: 1. Wear the personal floating device at all times! 2. If needed to get up on deck, wake up the other one, and then tell when everything is done and you are safely back again. The person asleep does not need to get up, but will keep an ear out until all is done. 3. Hook the safety line to the boat when getting out of the cockpit. 4. Wake the other person up for operations like reefing the main and gybing. The person asleep must: 5. Set the alarm to wake up at the end of shift. Do you have any additional rules you would like to add? Let us know! Don't forget to save this post and share it with a friend who needs to see this ??

Securing our luck with an ingot before stepping the mast-a cherished sailing ritual! Our friend Harold, gave us this ingot for good luck. We placed it under the mast. We are new sailors and if you dig the journey, we would love you to join us on our blog: https://gypseaexplorer.com/ Thank you for being here! Cheers From Me & The Kiwi--Heather & Chris!

? Full test in Multihulls World N°194: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/trimaran/neel-52-are-three-hulls-better-than-two ? On the agenda for the replacement of the NEEL 51: finesse at the helm worthy of a racing monohull, but equally suited to every possible use - charter, blue water cruising, and why not racing? The NEEL 52 offers various layouts ranging from 4 to 6 cabins, and even two separate crew accommodation areas. This new model logically abandons the Joubert/Nivelt stamp, taking on that of Marc Lombard Yacht Design - as with the most recent models from the brand. Forward, the three hulls feature a pronounced inverted bow: an excellent way to increase the waterline length without adding any real weight to the multihull - noting that the displacement is kept under control, at just short of 28,000 pounds. The NEEL 52 is capable of carrying almost 7 tons in cruising mode. ? TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: NEEL-TRIMARANS Architect: Marc Lombard Yacht Design Length: 52'2" (15.9 m) Beam: 28'10" (8.8 m) Draft: 6'3" (1.9 m) Light displacement: 27,780 lbs (12.6 t) Mainsail: 1,022/1,098 sq ft (95/102 m²) Genoa: 764 sq ft (71 m²) Staysail: 344 sq ft (32 m²) Water: 158 US gal (600 l) Fuel: 185 US gal (700 l) Engine: 110 HP ?
