In this episode of Sailing Sacred Seas, we say goodbye to the magical island of Ibiza and set sail on our second offshore passage to Mallorca aboard our Liveaboard sailboat, Kaia our Lagoon 440. With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, it’s time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, we’re ready to continue our journey. This is a superb example of the Grady White 232 Gulfstream. A very well built boat that has been meticulously maintained. Shows in almost new condition. Powered by a 350 hp Yamaha this boat will get you to your favorite fishing hole quick. A 9.9 Kicker with electric start remote throttle and steering at the helm makes trolling a breeze. It has nice a nice canvas enclosure for those cold rainy days and a nice cuddy cabin with enough amenities for overnighting. It also has a good array of electronics including Radar. Recently out off the water for new bottom paint and annual servicing of the main motor and the kicker.
