In this episode of Sailing Sacred Seas, we say goodbye to the magical island of Ibiza and set sail on our second offshore passage to Mallorca aboard our Liveaboard sailboat, Kaia our Lagoon 440. With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, it’s time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, we’re ready to continue our journey. From scenic anchorages along Mallorca’s rugged north coast, to hiding out in a marina during a passing mistral storm, this leg of our journey is filled with beauty, challenge, and rhythm of life at sea. 👉 Next up: Menorca – raw, wild, and deeply peaceful. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow our journey as we sail sacred seas! 👍🏼👌🏼 Thanks for your support ❤️ Link in bio or search YouTube for ‘Sailing Sacred Seas’ – let’s set sail together! ⚓💙 We hope that you will follow us on insta, Facebook and YouTube - SAILING SACRED SEAS #sailing #yacht #cruiser #sailingboat #travel #wanderlust #nature #adventure #boatlife #lagoon440 #lagooncatamaran #sailingyoutube #catamaran #mallorca

Siamo partiti. Davanti a noi 2000 miglia. Siamo pronti. 💪

http://features.boats.com/boat-content/2013/02/torqeedo-deep-blue-makes-award-winning-debut-in-miami/ Torqeedo leaves the 2013 Miami boat show with a NMMA Innovation Award for its Deep Blue electric outboard, which made its North American debut at the event. Deep Blue is a huge leap for the German manufacturer, which has quietly (in every way) been gaining a following in the United States with a line of kicker-size electric propulsion motors up to 4kW (matching the thrust of a 9.9-hp gasoline outboard) that are attractive for use on restricted lakes and for light-duty auxiliary power. The new 60kW (80-hp) Deep Blue is aimed at the commercial market, but the firm is also working with several pleasure-boat builders. The company had the motor rigged on a flats boat and a Zodiac inflatable at Miami.

At the request of Her Majesty's Coastguard, where possible, during daylight hours during the summer, leisure boaters in England should avoid using VHF channel 16 for routine radio checks. Instead, call one of the 56 lookout stations of the National Coastwatch Institution on VHF Ch 65. They can also give you forecast and live weather reports, as well as check your AIS is working. #SHORTS https://www.nci.org.uk/ A voluntary organisation keeping a visual watch along UK shores
