Tie it in the centre of a line when you need a loop and you can't easily get to either end. 🔸 It makes a good hoist if you have to lower or raise someone, with one loop the seat and the other under the armpits and around the chest. The loops should not slip and it shouldn't jam after strain. 🔸 With a doubled up rope, make a small overhand loop as you would in a Bowline. Located near Kulusuk in East Greenland, Knud Rasmussen Glacier can be found at the end of Sermiligaaq Fjord. Sermilik Fjord is a big fjord west of the village Tasiilaq. The name Sermilik translates to ‘place with glacier’. The fjord is filled with icebergs because it receives water from multiple glaciers. While the Global Surveyor sailed in, we observed many whales and seals in their natural habitat, but no polar bears on the shore. Global Surveyor is set to sail to the Arctic for the summer.
