In the last weeks, our team put six bilge stringers to add strength and stiffness to the hull. For each one, we follow the same procedure: The first step is to create a template and transfer it to the carefully selected piece of oak, which we shape into form with circular saws, planers and sanders. Then our team uses a mix of linseed oil, tar and chalk to seal the gaps between the bilge stringer and frames. Left the craziness of Khao San Central, and found a much nicer area of Bangkok to stay in - Wat Tha Phra. A neighborhood with tiny river canals, narrow alleys and almost no tourists. So could do what we love the most - walk for miles without much of a destination, catching a glimpse of the daily lives of local people.
