We’re Dani & Asher, two Kiwi’s who after spending 5 years living in London, decided to head home the slow way. We bought a 36 foot sailing boat called Bacchus, built a rowing and sailing dinghy Pīwakawaka and headed towards the horizon. We’ve sailed the south coast of England, the Atlantic coasts of France, Spain and Portugal, the Canary Islands and after a looooong trip across the Atlantic Ocean we ended up in the Caribbean. We free-dived with turtles, hiked volcanoes and had a blast on the coco palm lined, white sandy beaches before the unexpected happened. The world was hit by a pandemic. We’ve made it as far as Panama, the half-way mark on our journey home and we’re not entirely sure what happens next. Just bought a new used OB for our 14' McKee Craft and went back online to check outboards again and this 2018 2.5 Mercury showed up asking only $300.00?? It's spiting out gas because the carburetor is dirty. Will clean carb and add a inline fuel filter which there is none on these motors? I knew this because my father-in-law has one and his carb keeps getting dirty and sticking.
