When you sail into Senegal, you get a visa to stay in the country for 3 months. Visa is free, and you get it at the Police du Port in Dakar. I needed to stay longer because of all the work needed done on Galopin. in order to do that, I had to exit Senegalese territory, get my passport stamped, and then go back to the police for a new 3 month visa. Nearest border, The Gambia.
We celebrate three remarkable years of Alea, a 56-meter aluminium sloop designed by Mani Frers and built by Vitters Shipyard. Her elegant interior was crafted by the design studio MAtelier based in Milan, seamlessly combining refined aesthetics with comfort and functionality. Construction of Alea began in spring 2020. Despite the challenges, Vitters delivered the yacht in July 2022. Alea is a yacht that perfectly reflects the DNA of our shipyard, a project we are extremely proud of. Alea features a spacious owner's suite with an ensuite bathroom located forward. The guest cabins are located to starboard aft, while the crew occupies the port side aft. A standout feature is the generous lazarette, which houses a 7-meter tender and can easily be converted into a proper beach club offering a direct connection to the sea. Her rig is built to Panamax specifications, allowing Alea to clear the Bridge of the Americas over the Panama Canal. @vittersshipyard
