Our latest OH CRAP moment hit us when a violent squall appeared out of nowhere in the darkness smashing our boat from the complete opposite wind direction, tearing our mainsail free of the boom allowing it to flap crazily amongst the rigging in the middle of a busy shipping lane. In treacherous conditions on deck, it had to be secured fast before it tore itself to pieces. Since going through the anti-invasive species electrified field north of Joliet, I have been dealing with electrical issues off and on .
