Due to severe weather, the 11th annual Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis was postponed on Saturday night. The team HMY sponsored, Siblings at Sea, made the decision to head back yesterday due to safety concerns. This afternoon, a few paddlers were dropped in just off the Florida coast and paddled in a few miles together. While things did not go as planned, we thank you all for the support! My galley make over has been slowly happening over the last few months, from a brand new kitchen floor to a new table top and a new benchtop. I tiled a mosaic backsplash behind the sink, and for anyone telling me not to tile my boat, hey it looks epic so please be quiet! :) Thank you! But the actual questions: was it a good idea installing a mixer tap in the kitchen? Yes and no! It is great to have hot water, to be able to clean my dishes properly and what not, but on the other hand having a proper tap means I use a lot more water! And on a boat fresh water is sacred. I don't have a water maker. I am very aware of how much water I use, but if I have guest over and they turn the tap on and the water runs, it always gives me an anxious feeling. Switch back to a foot pump and cold water? I don't think so, but I am tempted to install a saltwater pump to rinse off dishes etc... Let me know what you guys would do! IG:yvonnemarianna.travels
